... and hopefully, it's a new breath of life for malaysia....
Happy Malaysia Day to all... :)
i'm sitting here anticipating the news that was said to come on this wonderful day.... i just read a post by a fellow xaverian who is my senior, vincent, and i would like to share a lil bit of his insights here....
This year we celebrated 51 years of independence. This will be followed by 45 years of integration, of Malaysia, to be commemorated tomorrow. But have we much cause to celebrate?
Truth be told, we are living in somewhat dark circumstances. Recent happenings in our country have brought about a great deal of tension and discord among her people. We are all responsible for our current state, in one way or another. We seem to be in an age where intolerance, injustice and strife are the order of the day.
As Lasallians, we always emphasise the need for solidarity with the last, the lost and the least. We mark it with symbolic actions during the national convention and with prayers during the day for prayers of peace, but what of now. And so it comes to mind that solidarity is what we need, this Malaysia Day. Solidarity as a sign of indivisibility and strength in unity.
So dear Lasallians, wherever you are; and even non-Lasallians (should you be reading this),
If you see nothing, feel nothing of this, then let this day pass like any other.
But if you see as I see, feel as I feel, and seek as I seek, then let us be our best, on this day when our nation was formed.
Let us mark this day by remembering that we are all brothers and sisters under our nation’s flag.
Let this day be remembered for our unity and solidarity with one another, more than everything else.
Let us, on this September 16, celebrate our similarities AND diversity.
This is the invitation to you. If you see yourself as BANGSA MALAYSIA, in the best sense of the word, then draw the Jalur Gemilang on the back of your non-writing hand (unless you possess the convenience of an accomplice). Include a personal statement. You may draw it, sketch it, colour it, paint it etc. That is up to you. No dimensions, no strict guidelines. We’re all different anyway. Just make sure it’s recognisable.
And as we walk out of our rooms, homes, cells, corners on this day, together let us carry the flag of our nation with pride in our hearts, minds and on our hands.
to further mark this LaSallian Action plan for Malaysia Day, snap a photograph of yourself, with your jalur gemilang and make it your profile picture on facebook, MSN, friendster etc.
with this.... i wish all a happy Malaysia Day....
4 more days to the end of the wrath that is created by the notorious UTAR ~!!!!
wahahahahaha....

Hidden Voices of The Malaysian Youth
I scrutinise with awe at the walls of the huge monsoon drain beside the Pasar Seni Putra LRT Station whenever I am there. It is a favourite hangout for underground artists, spark some colourful scrawls and visually appealing graffitis. These bright colours and diversed designs are hard to be escaped from the eyes of passersby and commuters, but if looked upon closely, they can bring words of many meanings. Some of them still stand today as the remnant of March 8 political tsunami. 2 months ago, authorities painted the wall white to remove them. And now, they are back...more are yet to be drawned.
p/s pay attention to the floor as well

Like it or not, these so-called annoying vandalism by our government is here to stay. At least, we get our message right across. We are making a move, we are progressing towards a change. Get the picture dude?

days like this ruins people's life
especially university students..... or maybe it's just me...
it's that time of the semester when i get bored of uni.... nothing to look forward to except the non core subject thought in uni.... [last semester it was english, this sem human resources]... and given that i've an MC and am capable of using it, i use it's maximum capacity.... just to avoid long boring lectures where i either sleep, listen to music, pretend to go to the loo but in actual fact i'm going to the canteen or just plain sleep....
so the MC is like the impirial badge given by the emperor [in this case, the doctor] so that i can do whatever i want at home and not go to uni.... so fun.... yeah... i dread going to uni but there are some who are really enthusiastic in it... well not me... definately not me in UTAR... maybe some place else.... or some other course..... but not me, in UTAR, doing chemistry....
well... it's all fun and all... till it hits me....
i dun feel like going to uni now..... but i have to go.... dilemma.... i want to die... worse is that my friends worry about me.... they may not worry that much.... but still.... dowan them to worry.... makes me feel bad....
aihz... dunno.... someone kill me please....
i think it's just me....

Sei loh bo internet~~
30 years ago, you would never see anyone who would jump off the Penang bridge or any high rise building when Pos Negara announced the breakdown of the nationwide postage and telegram service. Even Telekom could not pull out such a big stunt that could mar anyone into pulling a bigger suicidal stunt.
That was the past.
10 years from now, it is very likely that you will read news that people will jump off from, what?? a 3 storey building just because of sudden internet disconnectivity, and big lawsuits and torts are crunching through the corridors of TM Net building.
And the funny fact is, the cheapskate guy who jumps from a 3 storey flat or apartment, could very well be my 3 year old son - or daughter. That is the future.
Ladies and gentlemen, beggars and idiots alike, crappers and the sleepy-heads - I present to you 2018, just 2 years short of Vision 2020 which will mark the highest suicide rate of internet- and computer-related problems in Malaysia which could very be much higher than Japan if TM Net has yet to improve its service and WiFi and WiMax etc have reached skyrocketing fees to cash profits on the les misérables.
Lets get back to 2008. This decade has seen the increased dependency and vulnerability of today'sgranduncles and grandaunties youngster towards the internet. Simply saying, this generation, we are crippled when we are unable to connect to infinite matrix of the internet. We feel more heartache when we could not log in to Windows Live Messenger than being rejected straight to the face by our partners. In some severe cases, we feel isolated from civilisation when we are not connected to the internet although we are in a crowded mall of a densely-populated urban city. We perceive the 7 billion of worldwide population lives in the internet and not on earth. Ok, that's ironic.
When the wonders of internet was introduced in Malaysia in mid 1990s and my parents got a 58K dial-up connection installed at home with a newly bought PC running on Pentium 1 processor, everyone was fighting over the connection. Though it was only 56K, everyone was happy and it was enough. And they live NOT happily ever after. The end~
WRONG! We wanted more - more speed, more capacity, more chat programmes, more free downloads, more networks, more cheatcodes and cracks, more websites, more porno websites, blah blah etc - we WANT MORE!
And Jeng Jeng Jeng - here comes the Age ofEmpire Broadband where internet is redefined into a whole new level with an array of brand new sophisticated services and abilities. Almost everything electronic can be connected to the internet and controlled faraway including dildos and you know...but still, WE WANTED MORE. And TM Net has come up with a programme to educate consumers to suppress their ever-lustrous need of higher bandwidth by delivering a lower one than is paid and promised.
An accidental flick which kills the connection in various parts could very well send millions of people submitting into depression and thousands other flocking towards counselling centres and psychologists who will not believe they are raking tonnes of money from the virtual state of emergency. Economy will be immobilised and nations would be plunged into an extreme chaotic mayhem until God thinks it is too messy for him to handle that he just kills Noah and make a pact with Lucifer to wipe all humans from the face of the earth. And earthlings will blame the disconnection of the internet for their extinction since God would be unable to disseminate news about Armageddon to His children. Miracles would even need to be delivered using Gmail or Yahoo!.
Ok, I need to call TM Net now ~!@#$%^&*+=
