Vote Earth! Go Green!

Yes, you saw the title right. I typed this post in conjunction with the Earth Hour ’09 that was held yesterday, 28th of March, at CapSquare, KL. (Well, the title was influnced by Puteri with “Vote Earth” and Joey G, who was the speaker of the event with “Go Green”.) That night, Joey G asked the audiences a very typical yet crucial question, what it means to “Go Green”? He has said that beside switching of the lightings and reducing the usage of electricity a day, there are also other means like not littering, not to waste of water to preserve Mother Earth and etc etc. Those are just the normal ways of people around us do things to be “green”. To think of it again, what it really means to “Go Green”?

I had a friend who asked me this similar question again right after the event. Obviously some would just answer the same like how Joey G said. “But think again do you really know what it means to “Go Green” and what it meant by “Go Green”?” said my friend. After hearing this, I knew want to know something more. (Actually he just needed help in his assignment. LOL) Well, this is what I explained to him.

The colour green to us represents the land, the environment, the very habitat of the very beings like us stay in the heart of our great Mother Earth. The green could represent the very simple cell of an organism to the largest tree on Earth. It was the greens that we as humans have our very basic materials to build our own shelter. It was the greens that to many have thought to bring peace in mind. It was the greens that build up the very foundation of the many cures to the disease as well as for the future of anti-cancer drugs. It was the greens that has been a great habitat for the vast population of various kinds of animals. The very green itself states the primary state of the looks of our lands that is now a tale to tell to many of the countries to their nations’ children. Would you want it to be the same for you in the future?

Without the greens, our Mother Earth would looks as bare from space. The lost of many flora and fauna would eventually become a part of the museum or even just in a book, noting as a story to tell to the following generations ahead of what it looks like. We are not selfish beings who only care for ourselves, we are beings created with interlectual abilities who are able to think of what is best for us as well as for the best of our future generations ahead. You wouldn’t want your children to suffer. You don’t even want you, yourself to suffer from the countless why as well as the countless answer to give to your children, to explain of all the lost environment that we once have. Besides, you don’t want to stroll around the park wearing special made suits and mask. Am I right? Hehe

Go Green to me would mean to vanquish of whatever source that might cause such a tragedy in the future and to do something that might eventually lighten the burden for the recovery of our beloved Mother Earth. You don’t want Mother Earth to do something to us like in the movie “The day after tomorrow” right? It is an act to repay what Mother Earth has gave us, it is to repent of the things that we have taken for granted, it is going towards a goal of restoring the “Green” part of the world, not just for you, or for me. Its for everyone and everything on Earth. Vote Earth! Go Green!

Something to take note of...

(making the scene as if like in the cave from the matrix show....walking to the stage is me..not Morpheus..haha.. XD) Silence!!!! Hear me!!!

I shall say something that not many people like us or even younger that know anything about it... I believe that most of our parents are concern of the same thing....what is it? What is it that they are afraid of? Do you know? DO YOU KNOW EXACTLY????

People....hear me....what's most important now its the economics....the finance systems...and the other thing that people want it the most MONEY!!!! The section you all skip the most when we are reading the newspapers...what we read are just the normal news....the entertainment news and probably a bit of the world news....but how many has yet to bother about the current situation of the world's economics...

Yes!!! I'm taking about the current economic meltdown.... Does anyone know about the impact and how woould affect us? Do You All Know What's Gonna Happen If We Don't Do A Thing To Improve...To Understand?

I urge u all to seek for information....Make yourselfclear of the situation....Make yourself understand what's going on...Be aware..Be prepared as this will go on till the day we graduate and the 'best' things has yet to come...

People...follow me and lets make people understand of the current status....follow me and come with a campaign to help people around us to be aware to make us suit for the 'better' world ahead... WHO'S WITH ME? WHO'S WITH ME?!!!!

it's a new dawn, it's a new day....

... and hopefully, it's a new breath of life for malaysia....

Happy Malaysia Day to all... :)

i'm sitting here anticipating the news that was said to come on this wonderful day.... i just read a post by a fellow xaverian who is my senior, vincent, and i would like to share a lil bit of his insights here....

This year we celebrated 51 years of independence. This will be followed by 45 years of integration, of Malaysia, to be commemorated tomorrow. But have we much cause to celebrate?

Truth be told, we are living in somewhat dark circumstances. Recent happenings in our country have brought about a great deal of tension and discord among her people. We are all responsible for our current state, in one way or another. We seem to be in an age where intolerance, injustice and strife are the order of the day.

As Lasallians, we always emphasise the need for solidarity with the last, the lost and the least. We mark it with symbolic actions during the national convention and with prayers during the day for prayers of peace, but what of now. And so it comes to mind that solidarity is what we need, this Malaysia Day. Solidarity as a sign of indivisibility and strength in unity.

So dear Lasallians, wherever you are; and even non-Lasallians (should you be reading this),

If you see nothing, feel nothing of this, then let this day pass like any other.
But if you see as I see, feel as I feel, and seek as I seek, then let us be our best, on this day when our nation was formed.
Let us mark this day by remembering that we are all brothers and sisters under our nation’s flag.
Let this day be remembered for our unity and solidarity with one another, more than everything else.
Let us, on this September 16, celebrate our similarities AND diversity.

This is the invitation to you. If you see yourself as BANGSA MALAYSIA, in the best sense of the word, then draw the Jalur Gemilang on the back of your non-writing hand (unless you possess the convenience of an accomplice). Include a personal statement. You may draw it, sketch it, colour it, paint it etc. That is up to you. No dimensions, no strict guidelines. We’re all different anyway. Just make sure it’s recognisable.

And as we walk out of our rooms, homes, cells, corners on this day, together let us carry the flag of our nation with pride in our hearts, minds and on our hands.

to further mark this LaSallian Action plan for Malaysia Day, snap a photograph of yourself, with your jalur gemilang and make it your profile picture on facebook, MSN, friendster etc.

with this.... i wish all a happy Malaysia Day....

4 more days to the end of the wrath that is created by the notorious UTAR ~!!!!

wahahahahaha....

Hidden Voices of The Malaysian Youth

I scrutinise with awe at the walls of the huge monsoon drain beside the Pasar Seni Putra LRT Station whenever I am there. It is a favourite hangout for underground artists, spark some colourful scrawls and visually appealing graffitis. These bright colours and diversed designs are hard to be escaped from the eyes of passersby and commuters, but if looked upon closely, they can bring words of many meanings. Some of them still stand today as the remnant of March 8 political tsunami. 2 months ago, authorities painted the wall white to remove them. And now, they are back...more are yet to be drawned.

p/s pay attention to the floor as well

Like it or not, these so-called annoying vandalism by our government is here to stay. At least, we get our message right across. We are making a move, we are progressing towards a change. Get the picture dude?

days like this ruins people's life

especially university students..... or maybe it's just me...

it's that time of the semester when i get bored of uni.... nothing to look forward to except the non core subject thought in uni.... [last semester it was english, this sem human resources]... and given that i've an MC and am capable of using it, i use it's maximum capacity.... just to avoid long boring lectures where i either sleep, listen to music, pretend to go to the loo but in actual fact i'm going to the canteen or just plain sleep....

so the MC is like the impirial badge given by the emperor [in this case, the doctor] so that i can do whatever i want at home and not go to uni.... so fun.... yeah... i dread going to uni but there are some who are really enthusiastic in it... well not me... definately not me in UTAR... maybe some place else.... or some other course..... but not me, in UTAR, doing chemistry....

well... it's all fun and all... till it hits me....

  • i have to replace my laboratory sessions
  • i have to replace the quizes that i didnt attend
  • i have to pass up my lab reports... which are still left hanging halfway....
  • i have to do my society reports and pass it up
  • i have to replace my lab sessions....
  • oh i said that already..... still lotsa stuff to do...

i dun feel like going to uni now..... but i have to go.... dilemma.... i want to die... worse is that my friends worry about me.... they may not worry that much.... but still.... dowan them to worry.... makes me feel bad....

aihz... dunno.... someone kill me please....

i think it's just me....
